The website counts visits. The phone call is a different matter.

Those two things deserve separate answers, so this page gives them separately. The short version: browsing tells us almost nothing about you, and calling us means being recorded.

This website

No forms, no sign-up, no shopping cart, no cookies. No advertising tags and no third-party analytics: the fonts, the images and the one small script on these pages are all served from our own domain, so loading a page hands your address to nobody but us.

What we do count, on our own server: that a visit happened, which page it started on, where it came from (a search engine, a link in an email, typed in), roughly how big the screen was, whether the page was read past the fold, which questions were opened, and whether the phone number on the page was pressed. Your browser keeps a random session id and that first-visit source so a visit is counted once; neither is tied to you, and nothing is kept about the address you came from. There is no profile, and no way to pick one visitor out of the count.

The staff sign-in page at /admin loads Google's sign-in script. It is for us, not for visitors, and nothing on the public pages uses it.

Calling us

Calls to (510) 361-0841 are recorded, transcribed and kept. Dana says so at the start of the call. If you would rather not be recorded, please email us instead and we will answer that way.

From a call we keep:

  • The recording and a written transcript of what was said.
  • Your phone number, which is how a record is filed. We use it as the key, so a second call is not a cold start.
  • Notes about you and your business that come out of the conversation: your name if you give it, what your company does, what you asked, what we agreed. Short factual notes, not a profile assembled from anywhere else.

We use this to answer honestly the next time you ring, to work out whether the product is any good, and to fix what she got wrong. We do not sell it, rent it, share it for advertising, or hand it to a data broker. It is not used to build a profile of you outside these calls.

Who else touches a call

Running a phone line means specialist companies process part of a call on our behalf. Each is bound by an agreement with us and may not use your call for its own purposes. By category, they are:

  • The telephone carrier that connects the call.
  • The providers that turn speech into text and text back into speech.
  • The provider of the AI model that composes what Dana says.
  • The cloud host where the transcript and the notes are stored.

All of them are established US providers. If you become a client and want them named in writing, ask and we will name them.

Email

If we emailed you, we got your details from a job posting your company published, and the message says so. If you reply, we keep the thread so we can answer it. Reply with the word "unsubscribe" and we stop, permanently, without asking why.

If you become a client

What a worker learns while holding your seat belongs to your business and stays inside it. Nothing from one client is ever visible to, or reachable from, another, and no caller can talk their way across that line.

How long we keep it, and how to get rid of it

Call recordings, transcripts and caller notes are kept for the duration of this pilot so we can review how the service is performing.

You can ask us at any time for a copy of what we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by emailing admin@onnightshift.com from the address you contacted us on, or by calling and saying so. We will action a deletion request and confirm it. You do not need to give a reason and it costs you nothing.

Children

This is a service sold to businesses. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect anything from anyone under 13.
