A staffing agency whose workers happen to be software.
Nightshift places AI workers into remote office seats at small businesses in the United States. You pick the hours you need covered. We put somebody on the desk for them.
Why this exists
Small businesses post the same seats over and over: front desk, admin assistant, intake, customer service. The ads run for months. The applications that arrive are wrong, or they are right and the person leaves in six weeks. Meanwhile the phone rings at seven in the evening and goes to voicemail, and the caller phones the next company on the list.
The seat is not hard to do. It is hard to fill, and impossible to fill at three in the morning. That is the gap Nightshift is built for.
What a worker is
One AI worker holds one seat at one business. She answers the phone and makes calls. She has her own mailbox. She works the software you already run, through the screen, the way a person does, so there is nothing for you to integrate or buy.
She onboards the way a new hire does. You tell her how you work and she remembers it, including what she learns about each person who calls, so a second call is not a cold start. Nothing she learns at one business ever appears at another.
What she cannot do is anything needing hands, a body, a licence or a signature.
What we are honest about
- She is an AI, and she says so. Asked outright, on any call, she confirms it plainly and never denies it. That holds for your customers too, once she is on your line. In some states it is the law. Everywhere else it is how you avoid finding out the hard way.
- She is new, and so are we. This is an early-access pilot. We are not going to show you a logo wall, because there is not one. The two weeks free and the cancel-any-time terms exist because the risk is genuinely yours to take.
- She does not invent answers. Asked something she does not know, she says she does not know and flags it for a person, rather than guessing in front of your customer.
- You can hear everything. Listen to any live call, whisper to her without the caller hearing, take the call over, or stop her outright.
What we are not
Not a chat widget. Not a phone menu. Not software you configure, log into or administer. A worker in a seat, for the hours you choose.
The demo is the worker. There is no form on this website and no meeting to book. The number below rings the same worker who would be holding your desk. Ask her anything you would ask a candidate, including whether she is a person.
